Inkscape Ellipses and Rectangle Activity

The ellipses activity was quite boring but I managed to keep awake and successfully finish it.

I used the 'Ellipses shape tool' and made various circles and ellipses. I used the pointers on the objects to adjust and render them more unique, this helps the circles/ellipses gain a 'tinge' outcome, so to speak. I also made Pac-Man sort of figures by adjusting the pointers. Following that I used Inkscape's effects to further improve its appearance; effects can be accessed by shift+ctrl+F.

It was an extremely boring activity that I have ever done on Inkscape and god, I do not wish to do it again. This is however my personal opinion, after all it is my blog, but still I hope I render no offence to any Inkscape lovers (:.

Here is an image of the ellipses I have done:

On a good note, the rectangle activity I done straight after was by far more of interest and got me quite focused. The rectangle tool in Inkscape is very useful and enables you to create cubes, boxes, rectangles and circular-square like boxes. Of course, this all depends on how you utilise the tool.

Using the rectangle tool I made all sorts of cubes. I made ones that overlapped each other while ones that almost look like atoms or a group of molecules tightly shut-tight. I also used the Inkscape effects in this activity again and for the same reason as well, that is to boost its overall appearance to appeal more to other people.

Here is an image of the use of the rectangle tool:

Overall, the rectangle activity got me intently concentrated while the ellipses activity struck me with its incalculable power of boredom.

Inkscape Spiral Activity

After doing the star activity in Inkscape, my class and I had to do another activity, but this time with another tool called the 'Spiral shape tool.' It creates all sorts of objects and depending on how you harness its advantages, you can make all sorts of various things ranging from flowers to actual spirals.

For the spirals I made, I simply clicked and drag on one of the pointers, which appear when you select on the spiral, to make it have more or less spirals depending on each person's preference. I also used some of Inkscape's effects and made my spirals more appealing than it actually really was. The effects can be shortcut accessed by holding the shift, control and F keys on the keyboard.

Although it was fun creating various shapes and objects using the spiral shape tool, I much more prefer using the star tool, simply because the outcome of the objects were more satisfying - both in its appearance and use.

Here is an image of what I had done:

Inkscape Star Activity

Today in my computing class, I was asked along with my classmates by our teacher to do an activity in Inkscape. The activity consists of making any form of shapes but the only exception was that we'd only used the star-tool to make them.

After a few tries I started making various unique shapes by dragging the pointers on the star tool and by adjusting the star values table. I made pointy ones and rounded ones to all sorts of weird star shapes. I done so much that the shapes I made could no longer be perceived as stars but as other forms of objects.

In the end I made a lot of shapes and here are a few I'll show to you:
